Just added this on a previous article, came into my head out of the blue.
Given that the expectation is that he's an integral part of Englands future - both short and longer term.
Given that Roy is happy to bring youngsters into the squad and integrate them.
Given the level of the opposition.
Given the need for football.
Given the lack of Central midfielders.
Does anyone else think Jack Wilshere could have benefitted from an hour against San Marino?
Just to play Devils Advocate

Not in a million, he's on a rehab programme with Arsenal, let's finish that and get him playing for his club before wasting him time with some pony England fixture.

Yes but I don't think it would go down well with many of the other teams (possibly even Arsenal?), if he isn't playing regularly it's not England's job to rehabilitate him.

What and get injured again.....no way......We already have Walcott and the OX to worry about.......lets forget Wilshere.....let him get fit for 2 more weeks and bring him on v Reading in the Cap 1 Cup for 30 min 1st then go from there.....
Best thing is, is that we are not missing him that much with players like Cazorla, Arteta, Diaby lets not add him in anymore as he will probably be out for 200 years or more injured and Ramsey doing so well. Also The Coq has been playing as not bad so at the moment Wilshere is not missed.....
