Brendan Rodgers

United fan in peace.

Do you guys think that Rodgers/Liverpool are too one dimensional. What I mean by this is that if his vision does not come good what would he do?

I understand that Liverpool are now better on the ball than last year but what is plan b.

I have watched couple of Liverpool games this season and they seem a bit predictable and lack urgency.

This so called system seems to be over praised excessively and makes me ponder is Rogers undermining fans and others managers by thinking he is bringing something new which we haven't been done before.

He plays for Celtic right? Dont know a lot about him so cant really judge but is he really the type of player to get you 15+ goals?

And they (WBA) can be awkward yeah but losing the way you did is unbelievable lol..I think Spurs seriously flatter to decieve.. they got toally outplayed the last half hour and should've lost v United but somehow got the win and Everton seem to lack consistency.. I know i have tipped them for 5th but it is close between the trailing pack of Spurs, Everton and Newcastle and thats just how i feel it will go looking at current form etc..
Who knows next month they could've gone on a run of losing every game and Ba and Cisse both start knocking them in for fun for Newcastle then my predicted table would look different that's just the nature of the EPL

The reason I think Hooper is quite long and winded but here goes...

I strongly believe FSG are not going to buy us out of trouble. They are never going to go out and buy another Suarez or a 30 million player. On top of that would a 30 million player come to us?

Hooper is going to be relatively cheap and is 24 plus he scores goals, in terms of scouting he is doing it at CL level so will be less of a risk..

I feel that FSG are going to sit tight and try to bring through more youth players as it is a cheap but (if the quality is there) successful business model.

I think this is because 3 reasons..

1. Stadium redevelopment is going to cost money and will start happening relatively soon.

2. They want the club to be able to sustain itself financially in time for the FFP.

3. Their business plan is for when FFP takes place spend bigger as Liverpool will legally in the game be able to flex their muscles better than other clubs and therefore should generally get stronger and get their place back in the elite.

Thats why I think Hooper and players of that price range, ability and level are the type of signings we are going to make for the foreseeable future.

He does, and I think the rumours of him coming to us are rubbish. We need a striker and he's in contract talks. Talksport basically made the rumour up.

If not Hooper than a player of equal ability and price range. We are no way going to go out and buy a big money striker. Another name touted is the boy Son from Hamberg I think (don't quote me on that) he is 20 and has scored 4 goals so far this season.

What we need really badly is a player in their prime a proven goal-scorer who is at the peak of their game and is scoring goals for fun but who will not have much resale value as we are signing them to have their peak years at Liverpool. Thats what we need.. We wont get it though we will get a cheap player under 25 with "potential"

Let's just see what we can do with what we have. A winning run could change everything and there are some easy fixtures coming up.

I would love to see a winning streak but I just can't see it. What I can say in a positive light is unlike the team with Downing ect. The first team now with Suso and Sterling & Shelvey will get better. If they progress as they are then they will be better players next season and again better players the season after. The games we perhaps are struggling in just now to score or win will become games we win. Sterling and Suso can go on to be like mega amazing players to a level where they are our star men so could Shelvey. So 0-0 with Stoke could become 3-0 with pretty much the same players.. If they all progress, but it does look like all three are going to go on to be very important players.

You hear names like Hooper and Yilmaz mentioned. We all know about the deadline day fiasco and you can assume there is going to be very little money available come January.

I love the fact that the youngsters are getting a chance but it's clear a quality signing or two could make all the difference. Very frustrating short sighted ownership, the longer we are out of the top four the harder it will be to get back.

We used to compete with the likes of Madrid and Man Utd for the best players those days are long gone. The simple fact is if you sign mid range players you get a midrange club.

Also very interest to see the Duncan Jenkins story. Jen Cheng is an eejit for conducting so much of his time on Twitter and has been a PR disaster since he joined the club.

Many fans liked Jenkins but yesterday the tune has changed. Maybe Jens PR is paying dividends after all. The story is now in the Telegraph.

I agree, we are too one dimensional. I 100% agree with that and it is a worry.
