...Are we going to be let down by the venkys?
Finally Steve Kean goes, which had nothing to do with them by the way, and despite all of the big talk initially, we still appear no further on with a managerial appointment.
To make matters worse, we now have two (very) local rivals who are searching, any candidate could see all three in the same morning before making his choice!
We could be secretly in talks with Holloway or Schuster, and be about to launch an assault on promotion, but I won't hold my breath.
This is exactly the same as Allardyce. Manager goes, fans get excited, names are mentioned and the cheap option is taken.
How many times...

Shabby Venky will keep delaying matters, thus more games Black gets in charge, thus more likely he is to pick up a couple of wins, thus more likely he is given the job.
Cheapest appointment and very very predictable.

I expect Jordan Ali to get it not Black

I cannot think of one decision taken by the Venky's that could be classed as correct. On that basis it is hard to have any confidence whatsoever that they will make a sound judgement on this occasion.
However I would still be amazed at their total stupidity should they choose to employ Black full-time in a managerial capacity. There is nothing in his career history to suggest he is the most qualified or suitable person for the role, which immediately begs the question if he is being considered, then why?
My suggestion to the owners would be to employ the most suitably qualified available person, give them their full backing and support and hope the man recruited has the skills to get us up first time and then keep us up.
It remains a little ironic that one of the men that would be most suited to the task is the manager they sacked
when giving the classless one the job 18 months or so ago.

Did anyone see Hendry on Soccer AM? He was pushed on who he thinks should take over as manager. He said that the club needs a manager with experience. Asked if Shearer/Sherwood or Soleskjaer would fit the bill, he said although they were great players it doesn’t necessarily mean they will be great managers. When asked does Black have the experience he rather worryingly said yes. The longer the club make no comment on who’s going to succeed Kean, the more likelihood of Black getting the job.

I think Hendry is a fully paid up member of the Self Preservation Society. He knows if Black goes his days are numbered.
Our defence is not exactly watertight at the moment.

Seriously who would take this job in a town like Blackburn
The real shortlist is:
Gary Megson
Paul Jewell
Steve Bruce
Owen Coyle
Eric Black
Curbishley, Sherwood, WGS and OGS have all said no thanks to them
