Also with the Bane bit right at the end i thought he would play a bigger part in Arkham city!

Try not to give out any spoilers to ronny but if you mean what I think you do, there's actually two other alternate (for lack of a better term) endings to that one.
Both Asylum and City are excellent games but I'd edge toward Asylum as I love the story which starts off so simple but really grows out and becomes more layered. In City, it felt confused.

Scribe, I agree with you on the point about AA but with City I felt that I seemed to veer off on side missions too easily and ended up doing things that , while interesting, were not important to the plot.
I also think that the Catwoman missons were annoying.

I love both games. But for me AC just edges it. AA was more linear in my opinion, and I agree that sometimes that can be a good thing in the sense it seems more story driven. But I just enjoyed the greater freedom and level of detail in AC, and personally the side missions didn't distract much from the main story arc. I completed them afterwards and for me they added to the overall experience. Made me play for longer as well.
I just hope that Rocksteady decide to make another one, but only if they can come up with a storyline worthy enough.

Arkham City is a great game, loved playing it. Always a shame when it comes to an end but I found a lot more to do after on Arkham City than I did on Asylum.

Bad news Sergio, Paul Dini, the bloke who wrote the first two Arkham games sounds like he may not be doing anything for the next one, if that comes around.

I think that the whole Arkham universe may be put on hold for the time being anyway as Rocksteady have got their hands full working on another Batman/Justice League game based on the silver age version of the heros. Dont think that this will be tying in to the AA world and this is slated for a late 2013/ early 2014 release.

I prefer AC
I liked that it had you had a lot of things to do, AA was too short if anything for me, and the boss battles were too repetitive
I agree with the Catwoman point, I don't really enjoy playing as her, I just want to get back to the story, so it feels like a drag. It's annoying that riddles aren't activated from the start too, you go past quite a few and you can't answer them.
I feel AC utilises the villains better, in AA you only ever really see them for boss battles, 1 with Bane, which seemed like playing a bigger Titan monster, 3 with scarecrow, all were pretty much the same, Killer croc you see once. In AC they're more immersed in the actual story, rather than being merely Jokers pawns. I like that it's Joker v Two Face v Penguin. I don't really like the ending in AA either, it's a bit strange and uncharacteristic for the Joker to do what he did.
