Ok let's not get too carried away as it was only the Faroes we beat tonight!
But that said it was a breath of fresh air to see Coleman, Wilson and especially Mc Carthy give fine composed performances.
Three players remember who Trapatonni for reasons best known to himself ignored for far too long!
All 3 players got stuck in and used the ball well! Mc Carthys fine second half display was the turning point in this match and of course Wilsons thunderbolt gave us the all important lead!
It was great also to see Coleman looking for the ball from Westwood and start passing the ball to midfield instead of lumping it aimlessly forward in the style of Stephen Ward!
That said our central defence is still looking very shaky! For a while there I thought the Faroes were going to claw the game back to 2-2!
So overall job done and nice to see us score a few goals as well!
Coleman,Wilson & Mc Carthy!!

Too little too late for me mate, should have been blooded in the last game at the euros and in the case of Coleman should have started much much earlier in the previous campaign, and getting really fed up watching Keane being interviewed as though everything is sweet, he along with Trap should be long gone.
I'll tell ya who is overrated and that's Westwood, pity Shay didn't stay for another campaign.

Maybe that's why the back 4 are so nervous! They know they don't have Shay playing behind them anymore!
Of course Robbie's happy with Trapatonni. He knows any other manager would be starting Shane Long instead of him!!

Shows just how clueless Trapp is playing McfunkingShane ahead of Coleman and not giving McCarthy a decent chance. Happy with the win but its still too little too late for Trapp.

I know he scored last night but O'Dea is an awful defender, and we have Ciaran Clark sitting on the bench??? Some positives last night but shows trap will still have his favourites, long will nnever get a game as long a robbie hangs on for dear life as an international footballer. Don't get me wrong I don't think any of us think Shane Long is Messi but he's in form and playing in a top league. Robbie is out of form and playing in the MLS
Keeper wise Westwood is probably the best we have at the moment unfortunately, he's steady but nothing more.
Thought McCarthy was superb (yes I know it was the faroes) but we knew all along he was better than whelan.
Wouldn't mind this team for the next game:
Westwood
Coleman
O'Shea
Clark (won't happen)
Wilson
McGeady (think he's better on the right)
McCarthy
Andrews
Gibson
McClean
Long

Mumbai Madge - McClean rit aaf (U3867)
Yeah O'Dea is shocking just shocking and should be nowhere near the 1st team especially when we have other options available but Trapp likes him .
Yeah that team is more or less the team we all want but won't happen!
