Just read the article were KD was saying how good training was under J.P , LSL and Jules and that they were training twice a day and watching videos of upcoming oposition etc going back to the structured way they had in the Big Sam days !!! FFS that should be a given !! I cannot believe what I read surely somebody should have expressed concern over the last 2 years or so ? I would have cut the golf out a long time ago its not a Sunday league team its Bolton wanderers our beloved Super Whites !!! Get a grip guys before we are a Sunday league team !!

some of us knew there was something wrong in the water 12 months ago.it took quite a few months though for others to realise it though.im sure the previous coaching set up thought tactics were mints. turn up on a saturday and see who we are playing seemed to be their attitude by looks of it.

When it was raining, they did table tennis & bible reading.
His biggest problem was that he always tried to be cool & one of the boys.
It just doesn't work like that in any job. You have to have a pragmatic, mean and brutal streak first & be nice later if you want to. The split personality thing can get them really paranoid.

If your lucky and things go well you can be the nice guy. Your test is how do you sort a team out that is under performing? That's when the tough decisions are made and he maybe for the first time in his managerial faced decisions he had never really had to make

I don't know how training went before but the only reference point I can come up with was from SKD and Ricketts on goals on Sunday where they claimed we don't really do tactics. Also I've read that all the sciency stuff Big Sam brought in got canned off. (Even Megson kept them on ffs.)
That last comment from Bricks reminds me of one of my old bosses who was one of the lads but one day had to issue us out a proper rollocking. Not used to this from him we worked through tea breaks and cut lunch short to get back in the good books.

Obviously there were no tactics of any sort. No game planning or team selection to attack the oppositions weaknesses.
It was blantantly obvious to all of us fans who no nowt about football.
