Any experts here?

Is there anyone on here who could give me a rough estimate on the value of my inheritance:

My dad was 17 when he spent the paper money on two tickets to Lisbon for the European Cup final (not sure who he was going to take). His aunt was going anyway and he would have gone as well. Raging as he was, my gran forced him to swim in the perthshire schools finals and he had to miss it.

My aunt brought him back 2 programmes from the game and he boxed them away.

Would anyone hazard a guess at how much someone might pay for 2 pristine programmes, and two UNRIPPED tickets from the final?

Not that i'd ever sell them both tbh just interested. Im not paying for an online quote from a sports memerobillia site.

cheers

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but you're looking at £2-300 as an absolute maximum.

It's an odd one, but programmes and tickets just don't sell well, they tend to be worth far more to the owner than they fetch on the market. The "problem" is that people tend to keep programmes for big games, so there are always plenty available for collectors.

For example, right now you can get a genuine, immaculate programme from the WC Final 1966 for about £100-200, and a Celtic v Inter one would be about the same.

My advice would be to get a COA drafted and contact a collector, but only if you want to sell. Not really worth parting with for a few hundred quid I wouldn't say.

An unused ticket in an auction went for about 300quid. so maybe 200 to an individual buyer.

I have the same programme and when I've checked on the market value its come up around the £250 level.

A pal in my teens bribed me with what was his dad's prize programme in return for coming out for a game of football
