Glad to see Cop's has signed an extention to his contract. I am retiring from the prediction game and sticking to my day job. Looking forward to the new season, it seems to be coming together now. Hope we sign Mason on a long term deal.
I Will Stick To The Day Job Then

I think I can answer your question about Bally/ionly and his dislike of SoD and JR. Firstly, SoD, ionly was one of those who was a big fan of Heff and he took a dislike to the way SoD treated Heff and subsequently other players. Knowing him as I do, if we were to win promotion to the Premiershsip and the following year win the League, Cup and the following year all three cups including the Uefa Champions league all under SoD he would not change his mind.
As for JR, his disdain has been since the decline in the economic climate which at times JR has appeared to assume was not affecting people in Doncaster.
My friend, who is NOT destitue, just careful how and where he spends his money, has taken up the cudgels of those less fortunate than he is. He has disliked JR complaining about the lack of season ticket holders and also the drop in attendance while all the time trying to prize more and more money from those who do not have much.
He sees JR as someone who does not have to worry whether to feed the kids, pay the rent or go to the Rovers. In fact someone who is not sympathetic to the present climate.
I know he can speak for himself and will, but I wanted to put a separate case on his behalf. At no time has ionly ever said he is not grateful for all JR has done for the Rovers, as I know, he like all of us knows that without JR there would be no Rovers. Hope that clarifies things a little.
While on the subject of finances, what are the chances of Leicester doing a Leeds or Plymouth or Cardiff after signing Pantsil today. Sven certainly has bought a team since he arrived. I suppose the answer has to be that Ridsdale is not in charge at Leicester, but I think we need to look very carefully if they do not get off to rapid start.

Thank you, you know me only too well. You are also a lot more polite than me. I will not go further, I am being very polite where as I could just say "Go forth and multiply" but I am a Dunscroft lad and retired Police Officer. You are bang on about my views though - and now everybody can understand possibly that I do not like either. As for you Fuzzy - Is it cold in the dog kennel? I think you are in a bit of bother old luv

The message coming out of the club was that when Saints made the £3.25M bid the board had to give Billy the option to open talks but they made it clear they'd rather him stay. Now given the fact there's a clause in his contract giving him the right to talk to a club who offers a certain amount I'm guessing that amount is between £3M-£3.2M
Great news about Copps, saw him tonight at the annual cricket match, he definitely looked happy, as did all the players who were there including Billy. Big hints that Vine has signed/is signing imminently, he was playing as well

Ionly / Bally - for some reason she's missed that comment so no doghouse for me just yet.
On JR, I see to an extent where you are coming from. Fact is that at the prices Rovers charge, 1/3 of our stadium has been empty for 2 years. While I accept that we have to be careful not to upset ST holders, nothing makes sense to me less than 5000 empty seats at the KM.
It says that the product is not correctly priced or is poorly sold. We know that for years, Donny have not looked enough at sponsorships and corporate partnerships. Had they done so, the money raised could be used to reduce prices or that loss we run up each season.
On price, the multi-game offers are a good sign that people are thinking about this. But is that it? What about concessions for the unemployed, low-waged and students? what about concessions on multi-games? Season ticket purchase schemes where you pay part of the ST price over a year, then come matchdays, you get a book of vouchers that knock a big chunk off the matchday. When you're getting nothing for 5000 seats in a stadium, getting something for them is infinitely better than that.
On SOD, that's football. Part of his job is to pick the team. From time-to-time I'll disagree but in the end, I'll say he gets many more things right than he gets wrong. If he happened to be a bit mean with my favorite player, sobeit. Nothing to sulk with him over, he just sees things differently to me.

Ok thats fair enough then. Thank you bally for the explanation.
Bit confused as to why you are called bally if infact ionlywishicould is bally?

Don Skippy
To complicate metters even further, Bally as is now, is actually newyankeerover as was on 606. Ballyballybally as was then is now ionlwishicould.
The reason being that in the very early stages I tried to log on as newyankee and three other names. For some reason I was told evrytime that I could not log in and as I had exhausted all my e mail addresses and was getting nowhere, my friend bbb tried to get me on. The only way it would work was for me to become bally and for him to assume another alias.
Hope this makes it clear!!!!!!!!
