The Red-Bluebirds.

The two weeks are up, everythings fresh, we've got a finalised team as SoDs said he isnt bringing any more players in, suns out, hangovers gone, and the city ground will hopefully be buzzing this afternoon .

We play cardiff, who stand at the top of the table on a perfect home record and an average away record, losing to bristol when they had steam and crystal palace who are formidable at home, so still something to worry about. SoD should have found his best 11 by now, and Cox is back and will most likely play with Sharp up front.

Two weeks of work into a team that rolled over a peterbourgh that looked to have found their feet, signs should be good. Hoping to give them a thrashing, someones been due one and these things happen when its least expected.

On a side note, Leeds fans are keeping themselves just as well respected to the football league. How any manager can get their players to appluade that is beyond me. Anyone watch the game?

SOD just said JJ had a back spasm during Mondays training,he's completed training sessions since, but with the amount of MF's he has,who have completed 2 weeks of full training,he thought for team moral,it's only fair that they should of been ahead of him.

SOD just stated JJ did not train until Thurs and had not trained most of the international break as his Back had been in spasm. SOD said player who trained for the the game got the nod. Lewis will replace Pep and JJ will be on the bench on Tues at Blackpool IMO. Lansbury has a Hamstring injury. Dex will be available next game too...so Coxy.....watchout you may be on the bench so zip it and keep your head cool infuture!

So SoD and JJ are contradicting eachother then. What's Cox said?

Cox had to be taken off because he was on a yellow and couldn't keep his mouth shut.

Discipline clearly remains a problem.

Fantastic result though!

discipline might be a problem but at least So'D is addressing that now by taking cox off. hopefully that will teach him and everyone else a lesson.

Just got back from the game, would just like to say i think we've got our forest back, the forest from before the first international break.

Defense was outstanding and despite cardiff finishing with half a team of strikers, was limited to only one goal. Most other efforts were delt with by back four strong and comfortable in the air, and the rest by a resolute camp.

Midfield showed some pace, some lovely one touch football, and if had some better timed passes, would have had us 4+ over cardiff. Strikers were clinical, and what more do you ask for.

Only issue was the disaplinary record, if cox calmed it down he wouldnt get half the cards he does, even if due to someone else. Geddy, looked to dive a few times, one of which got him the card. Missed what happened for the red, anyone see/hear what happened? boy looked in tears coming off from BC side.

Pep's first card was harsh John McGovern said he went down through mommentum rather than dive but he did role after that so the ref may have done him for that. The second was just a poor challenge. He needs to up his game a bit, he's not the player he was last year. Good job we have quality midfielders to step in. Pep's out for two games now because that's his second red and he's only just comeback....unacceptable! Step up Lewis. They should all look at how Cohen plays the game that's leading by example

ah, agreed that the first was pretty harsh. A few comments about peps pretty harsh too, on vital etc. Thought he was great today in every sense, looked like the player of yester-season. Shame hes out again but hopefully this will get him to cut these bookings out.

Think the signing of JJ was unnecessary. He thinks he should stroll into the team and yet he's done next to nothing for last few years. SOD is bang on giving priority to our permanent MF's as loyalty should go to them. Pep, gillet and Lewis are our form lads so stick with them, signing loan lads is fine if there on 6 month+ or covering an emergency injury crisis but neither apply for JJ so we should send him back

Geddy's first booking was a joke - clipped just outside the Cardiff box, tried to stay on his feet, booked for diving.

Ref had done quite well up to then, but seemed to lose it. Cohen barged to the ground as he ran the ball out of defence - play on and Cardiff nearly scored. Halford tried to prevent a corner, clearing into touch - booked for time wasting!
