Apparently the verdict has been passed on to MIH, D&P and HMRC and will be released in a week or two.
Whats everyones guess as to how it went. I am going along with the theory of those I have read that had Rangers been found not guilty then it would have been front page news already.
The hacks will be clambering to scoop each other as to just what the findings against entail before an official statement is made.
EBT verdict made

Is this factual scotscelt,or merely the fancy of your sleep-deprived alcohol-addled brain?

At the end of the day if HMRC dont get the full whack!
This whole case will be seen as a waste of tax payers money and time and it wont have the required effect they were hoping.
The thing with HMRC is they have to be more consistent and chase everyone for what they owe ie Starbucks, Vodafone and football clubs etc
They cant just pick and choose one to make an example of!

Basically the source is RTC & McGillivan (as they are seemingly joined by some sort of mind meld).
Strange that all decisions made by the tribunal are always published within 2 working weeks of the decision being made. So if it was made end September, it would be on the Judiciary Website by now.

And only football club on there is Falkirk, losing an appeal against late payment of PAYE.
Does not take a huge leap to predict that the result will be announced shortly, given we only have 11 days of the month left!

Yes they can.
They can also use Rangers to set a precedent before pursuing others.
If they humble the last bastion of empire, nobody is safe.

I wouldn't be surprised if this October thing was yet another false alarm and it dragged on further.
But I wouldn't claim to have any actual knowledge of it.

Hector they cant, it is turning into a Kangaroo Court!
I dont know if you have kept up to date, with the whole Starbucks think but they basically open up stores which lose money, but then make profit by not paying TAX!

3rd - Starbucks actually broke no laws - they have a group structure, and save on tax payments by channeling profits from one area into a loss making one elsewhere, or create private suppliers within group which require to be paid "at arm's length" at wholesale levels.
Morally, very iffy at best. Legally, unless you want laws across the whole of the EU to change and reciprocal laws with USA, Canada, Brazil, most of Asia, to change, you are stuck with it.
As to HMRC, any victory for them here gets them very little cash - they know that. But they are certainly looking for the precedent to move in on the cash cow of the EPL.

I know they employ millions around the world!
HMRC need to tax evry company comparable to wealth and individuals.
They cant just have a best pals act with some companies cos they will threaten to leave the country!

Is Green not threatening to leave the country with his Euro league delusion?
