Will Hughes - How good will he be?
This lad has just signed a new deal and he has really impressed me in the games I've seen him.
He appears to be cool on the ball and 2 steps ahead of the opposition sometimes. I'd like to know if he was a well know about by the fans who keeps tabs on the youth scene, like Wayne Rooney was, or has he upped his game since he got his chance?
How far in the game can this lad go, or is he still not anywhere the article he's come across in the few games we've seen him?
We all know the stories of players who appear to be world beaters then end up playing in America in their mid-twenties.

wasnt very impressed with will hughes against blackburn, in fact i was quite disappointed. in the first half he had plenty of chances to run into acres of space out wide and didnt and because of that we played in a very narrow and cluttered central strip...
not sure if he was just doing as he was told or whether he was just naive, either way it was very frustrating to watch.
just saying it as i saw it on saturday.....

He's not really a runner, Kernow - he's your classic central midfield 'string-puller' or 'playmaker' (I hate that term).
As the middle man of 3 or 5, he's got the makings of a truly gifted player. As a wide man, well, he's not going to be as effective as Ward, Jacobs or Coutts.

ooe
there were a cupla, maybe 3 times where he found himself in a position where the obvious thing (even for a non-runner) would be to step out wide to pull the blackburn players out of position. maybe/ hopefully he will get the confidence or vision to do that as he matures. he is only 17 after all so he's done amazingly well to get on the pitch.
