For me Waghorn should be offloaded to a league 1 club because he isn't up to championship quality.
The sitter he missed earlier was a joke and if he had scored, we'd have probably won comfortably.
I hope the rumours about Conor Wickham are true because really do need someone else up front with Nugent.
Vardy is full of effort and takes a lot of work off Nuge's shoulders but we would be far more clinical with another strong forward.

In fairness to Vardy, he's only 11 games into a new season and a far higher level so probably needs time to adjust. Always gives 110% and that goes a long way with the fans.

Would love Frazier Campbell on loan - a real natural finisher

Vardy is worth 10 Jermaine Beckfords. Equally a talented with a work ethic.
Don't look back. Beckford does not work in our team. I'd rather play a 12 year old from the academy than welcome him back.

He can play as well as he wants at Huddersfield it will add value to him when we sell him on and get our money back!

I still think you can't really comment on Waggy unless he gets a decent run in the team, just like the whole team it might take him 6-10 continuous games to find his top form, the problem for Waggy is we don't have the luxury of waiting for him so the best for both might be to loan him out somewhere he can find his form!

Fair point TB and I'd agree that he needs to play at a lower level to gain some confidence.
That's why a Premier League striker coming here on loan would be good too - just hope we get someone good soon.

Waggy - pants at this level.
Vardy - prepared to give him time but not as a main strike partner. Sub at best.
Futacs - ???!
Schlupp - showed enough promise to be given a chance over all of the above.
Beckford - knows where the goal is. Written off by too many for a lousy 15 minutes. Will probably be "our" top goal scorer after two or three more matches.
Great start - strike "force" too fragile. Nuff said !

Once again, it's not about a lousy 15 minutes. It's about when a player goes out on the pitch and doesn't try. It's an accusation that goes around too much: "They haven't trieid hard enough!" when they're actually lacking confidence, form or have other distractions. Usually players are trying their best, it's just that their best on the day is way below their potential. Beckford against Blackpool was not trying anywhere near his best. I'd be surprised to see him again in a Leicester shirt and I hope we sell in January for everyone's sake: Beckford can go and be happy somewhere else, maybe Huddersfield; Huddersfield get a decent striker who seems interested in playing for them and we get monet to spend on a striker who's interested in playing for us. Win-win.
And Waghorn isn't pants at this level - he's just average and severely lacking in confidence; there's a difference. From the short performances I've seen so far, Futacs is the one who looks pants at this level. I hoping he can turn it around but his basic ball control has been so terrible so far that I have serious doubts.

How many chances does Waghorn need to have before people realise he just hasn't got it at this level? He has certainly had much more opportunities than Futacs and many seem to have made their minds up on him.
You could understand Beckford's lack of desire to play for a club where a good portion of the fans don't want him to be here. Yet last season, wasn't he our second highest scorer?
Unfortunately,I think many will get their wish and Beckford will leave (probably to Huddersfield) at a cut-down fee and will probably score a shed-load of goals.
Just hope Pearson can get someone else in.

The fans were behind Beckford for ages. True, they moaned at him and cheered his substitution at one stage last season, but then they got behind him and were chanting his name enthusiastically. They were still doing that at the start of this season, but fans can only do so much. It's not that they're against him being here, more that they've given up and are fed up of feeling a embarrassed about the guy they're chanting for putting him very poor performances.
The thing with Waghorn is that he did look decent in his first loan season with us. Obviously things have gone badly wrong since then, but I can't see why he can't make it back to that level again. That's not to say that he's good enough for an automatic promotion side, but he should be reasonable enough to be a squad player.
Still, as I say, I reckon he's got until Christmas to prove himself otherwise he should look to move on for his own sake. Contrary to what you say Prawn, he has very few fans left at this club and even those still lingering around believing that he does have something better than he's shown for ages (of which I'm clearly one of the few) can't see any real future for him here unless he starts showing it soon.
