Maybe other teams have worked out that if they add the name "Man City" to the list of interested parties, it increases the value of their player to the real teams who are bidding.....

It does seem odd that every player United are rumoured to be getting are also linked with City. While that might be because they both want the same top players, couldnt it also be that teams are using our rivalry to get United to stump up the cash?? just a thought.

Seriously though I think Mancini already said that the days of the big spending were over for now. Aguero is a replacement for Tevez, other signings will depend on which of the other players in the squad they can move out on loan or sell bearing in mind the 25 player limit and the FFP rules.

How do you know that club isnt working on more than one player at a time?

Some transfer deals are done through the media, others are done more quietly. It could be that City have 4 or 5 irons in the fire.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but I dont actually think Mancini is dashing round the world watching people. Unless the blue flying mean machine is a time warper as well.
He is in America, I think because we might have a squad of players there so he's probably done his bit of saying who he wants, next thing is that Gary "i ave not spoken too im" will have to do the rushing which is probably why he was in S America...either that or he was enjoying himself having a freebie at the boss's expense.

To be fair we only need to make what, three signings now? It is annoying though, spending days off trolling through the internet trying to find any scrap of news.

Isort of know what you mean grated but remember how anoying it was when Mr Cook started spouting off about who we were going to get a couple of seasons ago.

Oh definitely, Cook was an embarrassment. Prefer this approach too, much better than the way we used to go about business like a bull in a China shop. Just want us to announce some signings!
