Steady, solid performance.

Youngy gave him MOTM.

It seems that if you come into the team and have a half-decent game, Youngy will give you MOTM.

In reality, he was not MOTM. There were at least 3 players comfortably ahead of him for that honour: Morgan, Konchesky and Drinkwater. Whitbread was pretty solid, but did produce another howler that Schmeichel just got us out of toward the end of the first half. Morgan dealt with Marlon King better as well.

It was about a 6/10 performance - not bad, but if St. Ledger was back on Tuesday I think he'd be straight in.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm hoping he'll turn out to be a sound if not spectacular investment.

To say the bloke was playing his real game of the season (as Burton was a bit of a farce) I thought he did really well. Won everything in the air and was composed on the ball. Will only get better with more games under his belt.
