Okay PPL, I watched the game because Mario started, here are a few things I noticed.
Firstly the red card was deserved, sad for Milner because he plays with so much drive and passion but its just the character of the man that he took responsibility for Kompanys mistake.Milner just makes guys like Johnson look foolish and unprofessional, what a player.
The negatives,I thought Kompany and Lescott were poor again today especially Lescott for the goal and booting the ball out of touch when under no pressure at all.Its hard to understand if its lack of cover in midfield but the center back mistakes keep piling up.
In the second half it was pitiful watching the ball being booted long to Sergio and Tevez when it was clear both couldnt dominate the opposition centerbacks,Im not convinced that partnership will ever work in the premiership especially when Silva is not playing and the interesting thing about yesterdays game you looked such a threat on setpieces even though the deliveries were poor.
You are soo blessed to have Micah Richards, its the biggest joke that he is not a starter for England, the kind of stuff that should be debated in parliarment because as well as Zabaletta has played Micah is a totally different player. An Athlete and a monster at setpieces.
Coming to Mario, he reminds me a lot of Henrys first 8 games for Arsenal, looks raw and most of his shots seem to go straight at the keeper, cant buy a goal for toffee. He had a wonderful move in the 1st half to show his close control and ability to hold the ball. Most of his free kicks never beat the wall although everbody hit dreadful free kicks yesterday.
But FINALLY FINALLY Mancini played him through the middle after Milner was sent off and what a difference it made.Joe Hart had an outlet ball where he won almost everything, put pressure on the brummies central defence and brought Tevez and Nasri into the game.
Maybe Mancini has seen how useful Mario is for italy when he is played centrally and he is always involved. He is such a poweful forward who can hold the ball very well and when he is in around the box doesnt go down at all.Only when he is far from the action and isolated does he start playing for fouls and throwing himself to the floor.
I wish mancini would consider playing him in home games where at least the crowds wont put pressure on the ref to send him off.His yellow wasnt even a yellow and the second foul were commentators went on about how he could have been sent off was just a foul as he pulled out of the challenge.
Tevez and Micah were fortunate not to get booked sadly Mario doesnt have that kind of comfort and playing him in away games is risky in my opinion.
Lastly I put my hand up to Dzeko, another player with a great attitude.I still dont think he is that effective when he starts but he has become such an important super sub and will be so useful this season.A quick mention for Aguero for the pass, makes you wonder, Sergio was deadly for Atletico in that exact same position, with Nasri failing to make the step up, could Mancini be tempted to redeploy Aguero.
Great performance from City, havent hit your straps yet but still picking up the points. With Chelsea looking so good we might have a monster season.
Aguero Tevez partnership,Milner and Mario!

dont play mario in away games !,or nasri ,or -
actually nasri showed improved commitment only saw a little bit on motd
but when a corner broke down wba were 4 v2 so its always interesting to see who is busting a gut to get back and defend
clear winner was lescott, but nasri who took the corner got back to the 18 yard line in time to make a difference and was 2nd

Always good to get a win with ten men, doing it away at a place like the hawthorns is quality.
Dzeko changes the game again! Nice pass from Kolarov to release Kun and a nicely weighted pass an finish.
Nice to see us doing that again showing back to front we can counter attack as quickly as anyone.
