£10m bid for Aquilani

Fiorentina have lodged a £10m bid for Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilana according to Football_Juice on twitter.

Admittedly not a very reliable source but these sorts of bids are to be expected given his form last season. What sort of price would you be happy to see him go for? I really want him to stay.

i quoted 18mil because i'd rather not sell him. if he does want to leave, or if someone wants him then it should be on our terms and not theirs.

i also don't think leftback is as much a priority as it was this time last year. johnson has proved capable of playing there with kelly an excellent choice for rightback. insua is back from loan and could do an adequate job there, robinson is another year closer to reaching the first team and did a decent enough job when had to step in last season... and then there is aurelio all be it when fit and i'm not sure when his contract runs out.

i don't see the point in selling our most creative player on the cheap for funds for a position we have decent cover for. if we did buy a leftback better than we have available you cab bet it will be more than the 10mil proposed for aquilani.

>>I say call time on this episode and lets move on to fresh ideas.

I say a fit Aquilani is a fresh idea. A very, very good one.

'he's just told Radio Mana Mana his client will "certainly stay at Liverpool"'

is the latest from twitter.

A very disruptive one.

Why does'nt he just knuckle down and tell his agent to zip it then???

I don't beleive he wants to be here,we need 110% commitment if we're gonna text the next level up.

Radio Mana Mana? That sounds like the sort of station I should be listening to...

Stay.

I cant see him getting too much game time,the whole situation is disruptive,and getting £18m for him is pie in the sky,if he was one of the best CMs in europe then why are'nt clubs queing up to buy him?
==================================
With this logic, why weren't teams queuing up for Alonso before the season he left?

Juventus even rejected £16m for him and went for Poulsen instead
