I just tried to do this and found it really difficult, but here is what I came up with...
10. Robin van Persie
9. Yaya Toure
8. Radamel Falcao
7. Mesut Ozil
6. Xavi
5. Neymar
4. Wayne Rooney
3. Andres Iniesta
2. Lionel Messi
1. Cristiano Ronaldo
I know I haven't included any defenders but I think the attacking players are comprehensively outshining them at the moment- there are no defenders who currently compare people like Ferdinand and Cannavaro in their prime. I also have Ronaldo ahead of Messi which I'm sure will outrage some but that is my honest opinion. Try to make a top 10, it's actually a lot more difficult than it sounds!

Rooney at number 4 H'es not even the best player in his own team.

I don't think it is supposed to be in any order is it? Just the top 10.

Hi stretty. What is it with Gomez this season, injured, edged out by Madzukic or other reasons? Not been following the BL, but I find it hard to believe he's playing and not getting goals given the rate BM are banging them in at.

Statman, maybe you're right. I assumed it was in order due to the numbering. If it's not in order I still wouldn't have Rooney in the top 10 to be honest.

No I'm not sure that I'd have him in there either to be honest. He is a very good player, but his touch hasn't been great for the last 2 seasons. If he can rediscover that then he can get back in there, but at the moment, I'd have to agree that he doesn't deserve to be.

I dont understand the 'Messi cant cut it at international level' myth either.
31 goals in 75 games. how many players have better ratios? I can only think of Klose....

Likewise with Rooney 32 in 78
And remember England are garbage compared to Argentina.

Hernanes and Pirlo should be there. On current form, Ozil should not.

Ozil's been on fine form for Germany, but I wouldn't make much of early season form anyway.
