As woodwork has played such an important role at our club over the last 12 months, I thought I'd start a thread that we could hopefully not contribute that much to over the coming season. As a reminder, last year we set a new EPL record for woodwork hit: 46 times ; here's a small reminder : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfAlH9Yif_0 . Please be free to add and updated video or be free to mention if i left a stat out.

At the risk of shattering your excuse for mediocrity, I think we're ahead of you in that particular league table as well this season.

Difference is the BS hit the woodwork with their skulls, not the ball.
Anything to numb the pain of a no trophies.

This must be a unconscious psychological phenomenon associated with a fear of failure. Maybe there is too much pressure from the history of Anfield, the life size montages of past players in the corridors and the desire to get back to winning Championships that could be affecting the players.
Something Sam Allardyce has done at West Ham is to remove all the photos of the historical successful players from the walls around the club and the ground, corridors etc and look where they are. It could however, be that they are not so good at finding the onion bag.
