I'm on holiday at the start of this weeks gave me a wee bit of time to look into something that I thought was right.
GOING to make a bold statement here, they are a disgrace of a club. There inability to even give Celtic a decent game means that they are not fit to even be recognised as a decent football club.
TO back this up let's look at the stats. Since both Lennon's took charge there has been 7 SPL games between the pair with Celtic winning all 7, scoring 20 goals whilst St Mirren have failed to find the net once. It is quite possibly the most slanted head to head record in the SPL since its inception.
WIND that back though to 1986 when Celtic needed a team capable of conceding 5 goals in order to have a sniff at winning the title and who should they be facing but the disgrace that is St Mirren. Since then the teams have had 46 league meetings with St Mirren managing a win on only three occasions. Two of those came in 1989/90 against a Celtic in turmoil and the only other was against the hapless Mowbray when St Mirren realised they could do Celtic a favour in getting rid of their manager by trying once.
YOU could be forgiven for thinking that most clubs have poor records against the Old Firm and that this proves nothing.in the same period though St Mirren have defeated Rangers 5 times. 2 of those wins have been since 2008 and during Danny Lennon's time in charge St Mirren have recorded a win, a draw and scored in all but two league games against Rangers.
UP until the weekend I had dismissed the notion of a team not trying against another team but the facts speak for themselves. From St Mirren players celebrating with Celtic players in 1986 after conceding 5 goals to hand Celtic a title from SKY showing St Mirren players celebrating Celtic scoring OF goals it is clear that they are a disgrace of a club.
A BIT of interesting information for you to digest on this Tuesday lunch time.

I used to like the Points of View board on the old BBC 606. I remember winding them up saying that i'd been on jeremy kyle and it was great because i wanted to famous.
