As a finnish scouser I'm always happy to see finnish talent in the Red jersey. We're now linked with 17yo HJK striker Joel Pohjanpalo.
Have to say he's perhaps the most talented finnish player I've seen after Litmanen, Hyypiä, Roman Eremenko and Teemu Pukki.
I went to see the Celtic game where he looked really dangerous and was clear trouble for the Celtic defense, and I think he'd grace our impressive set-up for young players, and with Rodgers giving chances to the youngsters it would seem quite ideal.
Here's a link for a nice hat trick from the lad:

The issues is we already have good talent as a striker at this particular age group in Yesil, Morgan and Ngoo. If we were to get a striker it would be more likely one in the age of his peak years (24-29) or around 16ish and we already have Sinclair for that.
We're missing quality in youth in the centre midfield I'd say, Texeira could be class but we're lacking in numbers in that department.

His movement for the first 2 goals were class, very intelligent movement for a 17 year old. You can never have too many strikers coming through the academy either.

A hat trick in under 3 mins on his debut, yes please.

The more the merrier.
We play with 3 forwards now. Morgan is now a wide forward for the U21's, so we need the numbers.
You can never have too many good kids really, the best ones will rise to the top.

I would love to see us sign the lad. To his credit though, he has decided he wants to play first team football. Last season he wouldn't have got a chance with us. It might be different now though.

No defence in that video but the 3rd goal showed some skill.

I thought we'd already had him on trial and he was up for it. No?

Looks like the Fail have picked up on this article. Joel is a Liverpool fan and if we went in for him in January I'm sure he'd come.
