V Blackburn Rovers

I'll start off very briefly regarding the trouble on Friday night...lets forget about it, the loser is behind bars. Now returning to football matters, we'll b going into our game v Blackburn with new found confidence, we, in my opinion, outplayed Leeds and had it not been for pure bad luck that BOTH officials had their respective views blocked for the blatent handball and thus resulting in a penalty for us & sending off for their top talisman had they seen it, we would for sure have come away with three points and possibly more goals.

We were outstanding to say the least, it was like Barca in blue and white at times (I know we are nowhere near on a par) and all we needed to do was get more earlier balls in to Cogba and not try and walk it in. Also Corry had a great debut I think, a good composed passer of the ball and I think he'll be a key player for us and will be one for the future if he keeps up the level of performace he gave on Friday night.

Our passing and build up play was the best ive seen at hillsborough for many a year, I just hope that we can keep up that level of performance, we need to treat every game like a local derby or cup final if you will, should we do just that we'll be climbing the league soon.

Now that Blackburn fans have had their wish in Steve Kean, or "Keanius" as others have ironically labled him, resigning, there is renewed hope, dependent on the new new man will be, of them starting over and hopefully for them to get back up at the first attempt, of course the man to watch our for is Andys lad, Jordan who has notched up 5 goals so far for his new club.

It appears to me the performances have been no better since Kean left so I think this could be a good time to get our first win in 8, with all due respect to Blackburn of course, they have good experienced players there (Gomes, Murphy, Etuhu) so they wont be any pushovers but with the kind of football we are playing at the moment we should get a result if Antonio and Bothroyd provide Cogba the service he needs.

Also Id like to hear form any Blackburn fans on what they think their chances are against us and how they think they will play.

I see our promotion push has stalled. Why was COG not on earlier?

Agreed. Poor match, but 3 points is 3 points.
Good luck Owls, always liked you lot, so I hope you have a good season, stay in the league and then hopefully can build on that next year. Think you will have enough, if I am honest

Not the best performances from both teams, thought we could've managed an equaliser though..

Best of luck for the rest of the season Rovers.

We were rubbish as soon as Dunn came off. Its enlightening to see how an oldy from our last promotion 12 years ago now stands lightyears above most of our current team in terms of ability. Shows the state we're in compared to the last time we did this.

As for the attendance, well it was hardly rocket science. Venkys had about a week to capitalise on the feel good factor of sacking Kean. Instead they've messed about for a month approaching ridiculous candidates, and the result is nobody has bothered getting a ST.

Well done to Rovers last night and best of luck for the season and I hope everything gets sorted soon and that Venkys get back to plucking chickens. Fan power will eventually prevail as its the fans thats the hearbeat of any club and its about time Venkys woke up and smelt the coffee and realise that its not working, nobody wants them there, if it was me i'd give it up as a bad job, sell up and go back to doing what I would do best, in their case chickens. You all deserve better

Cheers Milan! Really appreciate that.

Ditto to yourselves. Obviously I'm an outsider and wouldn't dream of telling fans how to treat their manager after what we've had to put up with over Kean. But I do think Jones will get you out of this. He got you promoted after all and has mountains of experience at this level with Cardiff and Wolves.

Last night for example you deserved a point and were the better side after Dunn went off. Tactically he beat Black hands down, you just seem to lack that killer spark up front. But at the end of the day than can cost a lot of money (as we know!).

No problem mate

Well ive no problem at all with DJ, he brough in a host of new players during the summer, ultimately to provide the team with more experience at this level and the players he has signed just havent gelled straight away but like you say he will get us out of this as long as we can bring in someone who can put the ball in the net more consistantly at this level. The only thing that DJ is perhaps guilty of is signing 2-3 too many as the first three games of the season we played pretty much the same team as last season and the momentum was carried on into this season, but the new players are gelling now, esp at the back but if we can find that prolific striker then we'll be fine, just hope Milan dosnt get too trigger happy

All the best buddy
