As the summer moves on and the transfer window comes closer and closer to closing shut at the end of August we have to start thinking to ourselves are we ever going to sell Gary Cahill?
And another question that needs answering is doe's anyone actually want to sign him?
United signed Phil Jones this summer, Man City plumped for Savic, Arsenal have bid for Jagielka and favour Dann over Cahill, Spurs don't seem to have the cash to compete for him, Chelsea have never made an offer or even said they are interested in him and Liverpool are in the same boat they seem to prefer a move for Dann over Cahill.
That leaves us where left with a player we value at 17m with 12 months on his contract to run, no contract talks planned and no buyer in the pipeline anyone else slightly worried that we are going to be seriously stung next summer when Cahill walks away for free? Maybe it is time we be realistic and sell him for a lower fee of around 10m (if Arsenal only bid that for Jagielka who is in front of Cahill in the England pecking order maybe at 17m we are being way over optimistic) I would rather see us get a fee of around 10m than nothing for him.
Or another option is maybe take some of those clubs up on swap deals Spurs are looking to offload fringe players so why not arrange a swap deal involving Cahill and 2 or 3 of their unwanted players?
I am sure Coyle has a plan A (Cahill sold) and a plan B (Cahill stays). These plans will have different targets on but a serious spending spree did rest on us selling our prized asset.
I really hope that if Cahill stays with us he will do the decent thing and sign a new contract with us even if it is only a 12 month extention just so we can still get a fee for him in time to come, I think that he owes us that at least being we took him from the Villa reserves gave him regular Premiership games and made him an England international.
Doe's anyone actually want Cahill?

"We should have done what spurs are doing with modric"
How?
Modric has 4 years left on his contract, Cahill one.......

Another problem despite the fact Cahill only has 1 year to go Chelsea are actually making bids for Modric how many bids have we actually had for Cahill?

No big team has sold yet and that's the problem, they need to sell just as much as us in reality. However I honestly expect Cahill to move to Arsenal very soon.

If Cahill goes to Arsenal and we get 2 players back, add to the 2x Burnley players & suddenly it's panic over!
Hopefully.......

I heard that from a very good source too that Cahill was all set to go to City but they wanted to swap some players Boyata and Onouha but neither of them fancied a move here so the move collapsed because of this.
And Mallorca what 2 Burnley players are you talking about?
