Sturridge will never get to the level Torres once was. This is also the reason Torres has been given time. In hope that he would once again reach the level he made his name with. Its clear he cannot get there so Sturridge should be given a chance to prove he can at least do better than Torres has currently performed at.

Last year his attitude was a problem that seemed to keep Sturridge out of the side. This year injuries. So its not as if hes been completely ignored. After this weekends match is when I'd give him a go.

Yes but as a young player you should capitalise on such opportunities and rise to the challenge to make yourself a staple in the team when others decide not to turn up. I remember him having some awful fits/sulks.

Really? I remember him given the cold shoulder during Drogba's tenure. Also, I dont see how you can treat a player from a club you support too well.

Sturridge will be given a chance by some and blasted if he does bad by others. It isnt as if Torres is without criticism on these boards, which is just a micro version of the publics views.
