For 20 minutes against Wednesday,we looked terrific and that this game could have been a cricket score in our favour, but then the Rovers proceeded to show the worst team performance since Ince,Wednesday did take the game to us after thise 20 minutes, this made us look nervy, tense and any cohesion we had quickly disappeared, telling us all that these players are good enough to gain promotion but an experienced manager is needed quick,Wednesday will not go down and in truth i would think they went home disappointed they got nothing from the game,a terrible Rovers performance.

The worst performance Since Ince?
I presume you closed your eyes for the Kean tenure?

Rochina most definitely couldn't perform in Dunn's role. He's not the right sort of player to be but in that role. He's a striker, a technically brilliant one with decent passing but a striker nonetheless.
Formica I'm not sure about. He seems to have lost a bit of spark (probably down to Kean shoving him out of position) so I don't think he'd perform in Dunn's role either.
Not sure Peds has the quality, either. Frankly, we're screwed if Dunn is out for a very long period of time.

Surely Pedersen has the ability? Completely 2-footed, the scorer of many brilliant goals, able to pull a wonder pass out of his backside on occasion (West Brom 2 years ago and Leeds this season being 2 examples).
I think where he might struggle in that position is his lack of experience there and difficulties in adapting. He's a very good player (in my opinion anyway), but at the end of the day he's a winger.

That was exactly what I wasn't sure about with Peds, B&WH.
I don't know if he's capable of adapting to a different style, one that requires a different style of play to his usual one. I didn't catch the game last night so I don't know how well he was on the ball but he does have the tendency to dally on the ball (either through over complicating play or through a poor first touch) and, in Dunn's role, that usually leads to the opposition taking the ball away and coming at us on the counter.

He wasn't great but I do think he improved us slightly. I've always thought Pedersen is very much a confidence player. If he's got a strong manager who can give him specific instructions and shows him through team selection that he believes in him, that tends to make him play well. Hughes did it and Allardyce was getting him back on track but under Kean he looked lost. As usual everything comes down to this new manager, cause if he can get Pedersen playing then I think the lad could destroy teams at this level.

Hasn't Peds played off a striker under Sam?

We are in desparate trouble if Dunn is key to our success.
Every time I have seen him in the last 4 years he has either been sub, subbed or gone off injured.
Still maintain our squad is good enough just lacks a decent manager with tactical acumen to set us up right and make the right subs at the right time. Someone a bit like Big Sam.
This will give the lads confidence and instead of sitting back on one goal leads we ought to be able to grab that vital second goal.
Thats my theory anyway (having never managed any sort of team in my life)

Agree completely mate
With a good manager I think we would have every chance of going back up at the first attempt, we have some good players that most other Championship teams would love to have in their squads.
The appointment of the manager is a huge decision, and the owners track record is not a good one when it comes to any form of decision making. This league is so close that even the slimest of margins make all the difference. It remains to be seen whether they will make the right appointment (not holding out much hope), but the wrong decision could heap us in all kinds of trouble with regards to promotion back to the Premiership. With the wage-bill and owners who seem to like taking all the money they can out of the club, if we dont get back up this season, I think we will be looking more towards the bottom of the table, relegation to League 1 and even the threat of administration is possible, rather than promotion back to the top division.
