After stumbling and fumbling our way to a Champions League spot last season, we sold the two players who got us there and did not adequately replace them. Surely missing out on a Champions League spot this season would do immense damage to the club's talent pool, potential sponsorship deals and standing. Has anyone figured out the board's master plan?

All these years of, "We just need to make it through to 2014. The new sponsorship deals in 2014 will make everything better. 2014 will save Arsenal. 2014. 2014. 2104..."

It's OK if we go out of ucl now, we can concentrate on making it for next season. I'm sure we will win it next season because we will buy world class players from the sales of Walcott and co.
