After a lot of doubting as to whether Craig Whyte really had the wealth to take Rangers forward, today he proved once and for all that he has. Ortiz, Wallace and Bedoya in January are exactly the calibre of signings that will have his critics eating their words and will take Rangers onto a new level.
Forget over paid, over rated players like Miller and Cuellar, these guys represent great value for money. The Spanish second division, Sweden and Scotland are exactly the type of places a club with a go get'em attitude like Rangers ought to be casting their net. Forget trying to compete with the Championship or Turkey.
So well done Mr Whyte, your business acumen will have steadied the nerves of the bears and given them real reason to be optimistic about the season ahead, and belief that they can have a really good run to the last 16 in the CL.

Gazza - if Whyte keeps splashing out for this level of player the SPL title will be a cake walk

Darkskies, for once I agree with you - we have to be considered favourites this year. 3iar winning squad kept together, few new squd players to give us depth, no 'firesales' or fears of impending doom.
But although we're favourites, I won't be counting my chickens just yet - football is a funny business and Im sure it will be a close run thing again.

I agree with you on all fronts, other than about Cuellar.
I still think he'll be on his way towards the end of the window.
He's injured so there's no hurry
