Arshavin Looked Hungry Today

His chip across the area to Giroud was good. It caused all sorts of problems. He looked tidy in possession, albeit not that sharp (lacking match fitness).

But what impressed me the most about him, is the hungry look he had on his face.
You could tell he was aching to play.

A welcome attitude that will no doubt rub off on other players. Ridiculous how Wenger keeps overlooking him.
Give the man a chance. A few games.

i think arshavin should be a given a chance. i'm sure he will start against reading in the week, and if he plays well then with chamberlain injured he should used as a substitute against utd if things aren't going well.

Gervinho inspires. He plays football in a such a way, you think 'hey, anyone can make it in this sport'.

What basics? Lose possession, not tracking back? He is a liability if he starts but off the bench he can be mildly useful

We played even better with 10 men, than when Gervinho was on today.

Agree with this. I was prepared to give Gerv a chance before the season started but he really is just a frustrating player. One of the worst attacking players with pace I have ever seen under Wenger, and it makes me sad to say that. I hope he can find some sort of consistency because he can be a very dangerous player, but I can't see it.

Arshavin deserves his chance, we know his tracking back is poor but at the moment we cannot break teams down - when Arshavin is 'On' we know he can do that for fun - it is no coincidence that his inviting chip cross led to the goal

Fubo he isn't captain anymore, got dropped after telling Russian fans to do one
=============================
Not really, he was dropped because of not getting game time at Arsenal.

The situation with the fans was also blown out of proportion. There was nothing of the sorts.

What there was was a quite lengthy and overall, a polite discussion during which both parties made their positions clear - the fan stating that the players 'failed to live up the fans' expectations' and Arshavin replying that 'it's the fans' problem if the players failed to live up THEIR (i.e., the fans' expectations)'. He does have a point there.
