Anyone proud of that?

I'm not, we started great but once we went 2-0 up we just sat back and invite pressure on. Even with their 9 men they still looked dangerous, and wtf was Valencia doing at the end there? He could've killed the game off but shoots it wide, we got 3 points and ended their unbeaten run but it wasn't half ugly at times. Was RVP playing through that knock as well because I do hope he isn't injured.

Hazard and especially Oscar were better than Mata today

Kagawa_26 - Cleverson! (U15671)

Seeing as Evans is your best, I doubt smalling would start ahead of him ?

Mata shines more but those 3 can link up so damn good ... a better striker ahead of them and that could be trouble for the rest of the league

We simply do not have enough players comfortable on the ball when pressed. Not the expansive passes against weak teams, but the calm simple one- two- three passes ala barca, madrid when you are pressed. Only scholes, rvp can seem to do it. I'm sorry but cleverly, young(puts head down&then pass back) and the rest cannot. It cant be coached, either you have or not. We don't have enough players capable of doing it, against the TOP TEAMS

Smalling is better than Evans. As good as Evans has been, Smalling is overall the better centre half and would be the most appropriate to play alongside Vidic. That said, I have my reservations over the fitness of Vidic and have often said on here that the sooner Smalling and Evans become our first choice partnership then the better. This all depends on fitness, of course.

not knocking the other 2,they are hugely talented

mata just has something overall that binds it all together for me. Silly example maybe but hazard with all his skill and trickery put a ball across the 6 yards with no one there and cfc down to 9. mata would have shown more ''vision''

CFC need a chicharito/bent type of striker who will get supply all day long

purewater - I think we do have the players TBH. I see those attributes in kagawa, anderson, wellbeck and nani
I see a ''flair'' in these players too. players who will try something that little bit different. But SAF seems to not want this. Even carrick has to just sit. berbatov couldnt get a game and veron just lost confidence

I'll take a three point ugly winner any day...especially against Chelsea.....can't seem to shake that wicked Drogba offside nightmare!

Agreed but not anderson, he too gives away the ball in dangerous place and to have that kind of comfort and skill with the ball you need to be two footed. Anderson is not and by trying to shift to his left foot the ball is won off him. Its a real problem with us. Not saying we should be like barca but five passes and no mishit can really knock confidence off a team but when they realize just pressuring you can cause you difficulties, believe me all teams 'll try it. Hargreaves also had, shame it never worked. I think carrick has the quality but lack the confidence

Someone tell RVP left foot to go and "support" someone else... Makes me sick how fans like this constantly criticise the team. It's easy to manage the team from behind a keyboard!
