At last!!

A MASSIVE well done to DJ & the owls for the result, its a result that in my honest and humble that has been coming for a number weeks now. Since DJ changed the formation to 4,3,3 or 4,1,4,1...or whichever, we have played better footy and our defence has massively improved since Llera came in alongside Gardner, even Daniel Jones has improved which im glad to see, be intresting for the likes of R Johnson when he comes back, I think Dan Jones will keep his place if he continues, not singleing him out as the main top performer but its nice to see that he has taken his chance and kept it seeing as he has had a tough time at S6 .

Despite the result, our goals are still coming from other areas i.e. midfield which reaffirms my conern of our need for a proven goalscorer, COG works his go-nads off every game and plays well which is great but he's no goalscorer, although he has 5 in all competitions and is, somewhat ironically, our leading scorer, they have come in "Chunks" 2 against Olham, 1 against Derby and 2 against Burnley, thats 3 games out of, what 11 games that he has played in (thats an estimate BTW) which isnt consistant enough. We need him scoring every one or two games. Now could the problem lie with the midfield? Are they not providing enough for COG? Or is COG like stated not a natural scorer? Or is it another reason? Given the way we play which is posssion football or tippy tappy football, does our tactics suit COG? Seeing as he is a hard worker with guile, would he be better suited to Meggys style of play? As I think probably Rodri may be the better suited style of striker for the formation and tactics, think about it he has great technical ability, can drop back to link play up and make intelligent runs, and also is great in the air for a little fella, bit like T Cahill. I think that if we gave Rodri another chance with this current formation he would start scoring again, id hate to drop COG but if I was manager I'd have to think of Sheffeild Wednesday and not COG.

No doubt not everyone will agree and thats fine, we are all entitled and this is what its all about, but I honestly think that if we gave Rodri another chance with this formation he will get us more goals.

Theres one absolutely huge, MASSIVE factor that nobody ever seems to tag onto and his name is Lewis Buxton.

The guys absolutely vital to our defence. We fall to pieces without him. Deserves so recognition. When he gets injured again just watch us conceed at least 2 goals a game again.

Buxton is better than Cafu

Too right...and Cafu was a legend at that

Buxtons been great and its funny, since he & Llera came back we have looked more comfortable and look more reliable than when Mattock and Taylor was in the team...even Dan Jones is looking a far better player than he was the season before last
