Time to give them a go TOGETHER.
So far this season it's been Long OR Lukaku. One starts and is often replaced by the other. However with both looking sharp, both scoring goals and lowly Southampton (still a tough game) at home next up......there's no better time to give these 2 a game up top together.
It will of course mean reverting from our trusty 4-2-3-1 but if it's not going our way early doors, we can easily revert back to that formation.
I feel Luk and Long could do some serious damage to Saints woeful defence.

To West Brom,
Please nurture and keep our beast safe and hungry for us. It will help us both in the long run.
Many thanks

we have played at our best with a 4-2-3-1 so i wouldn't change
And at the moment Long is better than lukaku in just about every area, so should start imo

Southampton lost again at Championship Leeds tonight.
Many Saints fans calling for Adkins head now. Massive game for them it is.
You know what's going to happen don't you.?

Don't agree with having 2 up top, and playing 2 DM's , I think it could stifle our creativity. Long is 50/50 for Monday apparently, but will hopefully make it. I think I would start with Lukaku in a 4-5-1 and nurture Long through his injury, the last thing we need is him being out for a prolonged period. Most of our injured players are nearing full fitness, and even Reidy is back in full training, and could be back for Wigan!
