Gone to Chelsea and made 10 changes and scored 4 goals. When you consider who finished the game for them and for us.....it just shows the strength of squads. They basically don't have a lot else other than their first 11 it seems.
We have Given some of our local home grown lads a real night of experience. It won't do them any harm. Keane, Wooton, Tunicliffe & the likes of Powell too.
We played some great stuff and had Ando stayed on I reckon we may have just seen it out at 3-2. But it's the C.O.C and we have much bigger fish to fry.
Very desperate scenes from Chelsea and Di Matteo using so many regular first team members. And they needed two pens to do it, one of which coming in our beloved fergie time.
Great game though. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Not too @r5ed about being out either.
Mightly proud of our lads tonight.

Yes but this article is basically for us to take the positives from this game, and there are many Chelsea fans coming on here spouting rubbish.
Like I said, well done on your victory, but we gave you a very good game and this is why we aren't to angry about it.

Some of the articles would suggest otherwise...

Fair play Darren and you gave it a go,with kids etc,but do not use that as an excuse,is what I am saying.
Two great games between us,and that makes football fun.

No excuses from me.
We played very well and for that reason it makes the defeat easier to take. Mistakes cost us, but that is to be expected from two young centre halves.
Was a bit gutted to see Anderson come off. I know you were looking for an equaliser but that really handed you the initiative.
As soon as you took the lead in extra time I knew it was game over.
With Welbeck and Anderson coming off we didn't have much going forward, and it was obvious you'd pick us off on the counter.
Like I said, I felt we were a little unfortunate not to have won in normal time (and holding onto leads seems to be a real problem for us, which is worrying), but after extra time you were deserved winners.
The silver lining is that the extra games you'll have to play may give us an advantage in the league.

Darren
Sorry mate,I meant other Man Utd guys were using the silly reserve excuse, not you.
We gave you the first goal tonight,on a plate, like Saturday's og.Luiz at fault in both games imo,and we miss JT.
I was livid Torres got a dodgy red and you scored from off-side,but we played well, both games.
We need an RVP or Falcao,as we create loads, but miss loads, unlike Man u tonight and Sun.
Great games mate, and hard luck tonight. You come over as a sound fan.

Think the striker situation could be the difference between you and us and City.
Overall there doesn't appear to be that much between the sides.
United and City have a bit more depth, particularly the striking department.
Rooney, RVP, Hernadez, Tevez, Aguero and Dzeko are all pretty reliable sources of goals. Welbeck and Balotelli can be pretty hit or miss, but will get us a few also.
I see your strikers more how I see Balotelli and Welbeck. Hazard and Mata fill me with more confidence in terms of goals. Maybe they'll carry the burden.
Think you'll recall Lukaku?

RDM says we have the option to recall Lukaku, but from what I have seen,he is not the answer.I would have kept Drogba, for one more season,if we could have.
Hope we gat Falcao in Jan.Moses and Sturridge may require a run in the team, similar to the massive run Torres has been given, due to his price imo.
Man Utd and City have better strikers, but if RVP got hurt,as he does, you may struggle?
Looks like a decent season of football.
Enjoy it Darren,and goodnight mate.
