Had a mail from not 606...registered on it....but up for this one now.

I feel pretty comfortable myself with JA606, MAY JUST GO BACK AND POST on 606 how good some of us think it is before it shuts....

This is a cloned Beeb forum and is severly limited in its' functionality (a bit like your team actually).

On the other hand, not606 on the vBulletin platform has so many more options and facilities - it puts this one firmly in the geriatric section.

I bet you lot still have curly perms and wear flares..

Hi Sparkey, yes I have to admit you're not wrong about me.
I've tried not606 and have found it as you say, 'has so many more options and facilities'. Please understand I want to comment and don't need to embellish any debate with 'options and facilities'.

PS - Was a Mod in the 60's, Levi's,Braces and Ben Shermans - we never wore flares.

No probs with your reasoning Redprint - I agree that sometimes the oldest comfiest armchair can be the best place to relax.

Some of the extra options and functionality on not606 can seem a bit over the top for those that just want to have a chat about football and have a laugh with like-minded posters.

On the other hand, things like personal messaging between members, lack of over-zealous moderation, the swear filter (for those that want it) and the "pillock filter" to eliminate idiots from your enjoyment of the forum are all good tools.

Hope I'll catch up with you on both forums.
