Sure I agree its time to give him a chance. Torres needs a kick in the arsse. If Sturridge can capitalise then great! If not hopefully Torres will wake up.

Im more worried about getting our defense in order in all honesty.

Guys your defence against us was pretty much the same yet you conceded 7 goals against us. I personally think you need a top class centre back, Luiz switches off at important times and Cahill is better going forward than defending. I am suprised Di Matteo didnt get reinforcements in that area.

We missed out with Silva for CB, I really don't know right now who else there is that can come in. Lucio of 4 years ago would have been perfect.

The Terry gap is going to be hard to fill, say whatever you like about his defensive abilities, his leadership and organisational abilities were first class.

I agree, Terry is good at organising but is close to finishing. Bertrand looks decent at left back but theres talk of Ashley Cole leaving also.

I read in The Guardian last week I think it was, im sure he's on loan but still at your club?

He's better in confidence, pace, better at taking chances, though still needs to improve alot there..

Mancienne is pretty poor, and eft us 2-3 years ago We have some good CB prospects around the youths and on loan but they're just 1-2 years off being ready for us imo. I am not sure buying a CB will solve problems, there's noconsistency with the two in midfield and defence, usually a massive gap, and alot of inidvidual mistakes.

I like Luiz alot, thought he was one of our best players last season, but this season he just totally lacks concentration.

His confidence may be misplaced and a hindrance at times. Pace....acceleration for sure. In all honesty none of that will make him good enough to replace Torres alone. Also, its not Torres who he is replacing. We are trying to replace Drogba still so I find it a bit hypocritical to compare Torres to Drogba and say hes not good enough only to turn around and then compare Sturridge to Torres and say hes our best option.

I understand Torres is meant to be world class but he only shows it in glimpses now. Also as supporters the money the club paid for him shouldnt really matter to us. Its only really fuel for WUMs.

I agree, same with Carroll he didnt choose to be worth £35 million. That in itself causes problems for the player.

If you guys get Falcao you would be lethal up top, providing Falcao is a hit here.
