Defoe's Frustrated

That's the thing, if you look at the appearances against his availability he has been given far more chance than say Lennon. He plays all the games he is available but doesn't score in league until march/april and then b1tches about not bring given chances. Winds me up

I dont konw what to think of this one. I always hoped JD would find his shooting boots again before the end of the season. I like the guy I like watching him play. Would love it though if he was our second choice striker.

When he's on fire he's perfect, unfortunately I don't think he can be a second choice striker. He left as he was behind Keane and Berbatov first time round

I remember that was what everyone was waiting to see when Defoe came back from injury. I think the partnership would work a lot better if vdv stayed higher up the pitch and actually maintained the link between JD and the midfield. As it was vdv ran back to defence to collect the ball and left him isolated most of the time. I remember the England game when he got a hat-trick Rooney played that role perfectly.

The 2 goals he came back and scored against Wolves were superb but then again the goals dried up. It's a weird one to call.

He should try watching himself run off-side time and again and then he'd know the true meaning of frustration.
