Well with the latest Hamilton bashing going on I decided it was time to put this to bed so here goes
Hamilton
2007 - 2nd
2008 - 1st
2009 - 5th
2010 - 4th
2011 - 5th
Alonso
2001 - 23rd
2002 - dropped
2003 - 6th
2004 - 4th
2005 - 1st
2006 - 1st
2007 - 3rd
2008 - 5th
2009 - 9th
2010 - 2nd
2011 - 4th
lowest finish
Hamilton 5th
Alonso 23rd ( not including the year he got dropped for being shiet )
So in conclusion
Hamilton > Alonso
Hamilton > Alonso

Alonso is every bit as good as Hamilton.
Alonso is better than Vettel.
I hope Alonso wins the WDC this season rather than Newey. He has certainly done enough to justify it.

This has been a very good season but if I had to choose between vettle or Alonso it would be vettle!
Also Hamilton with a more reliable car/team like Ferrari or red bull would easily be right up there to.

Counting 2001 in a Minardi hardly makes a fare judgement, no driver could have made a Minardi finish higher in the championship, you'd have had as much chance walking round the circuit

North stand
That's just proves how good of a driver Hamilton is then that a big team to a risk on him and he repayed them by finishing 2nd ( should of came 1st) while Alonso in the same car finished 3rd

They finished level on points, if they'd actually acted like grown ups instead of children, either one of them would have had the title instead.
After the spying saga, if Mcclaren had treated them equally instead of backing Hamilton only, Alonso would have won the title that year.

This is what happens when the anti Hamilton brigade start. We get the pro Hamilton brigade responding in equal insane measure
