no where has boas said he wont buy lukaku.

Look at his actual quotes which can be found on chelseas website. then look at what sky have for quotes.

sky have completley changed them to make it look like as if we wont sign him whereas villas-boas basically said he rates him highly and hed be a very good addition for the future, but atm we have lots of strikers. Hes saying he wants to sign him now and use him next season.

in 4 seasons time. lukaku and sturridge up front.

I don't know how you interpreted yours, but from his actual quotes...he sounds like one who is not interested in buying Lukaku.

Boas stated he felt we didn't necessarily need recruitment up front at the moment, but Lukaku isn't be bought to make an instant impact.

He also praised the hell out of him in the same interview.

Like on the other thread, AVB wouldn't go right out and say we needed Lukaku.

did he say we wont buy him or did he say at the moment we dont need another striker in the squad? anelka drogba malouda all likely to leave after this season. leaves us with torres and sturridge for cf, we will sign lukaku thats why we have bid, but he wont be used this coming season

He sounds like someone who doesn't feel Lukaku is necessary at the moment, which he isn't, but neither is Courtois, De Bryune or Romeu. Right now the board our buying for the future, and next month Boas himself will buy players who'll be active members of the team this season.

I think Boas understands that Lukaku if bought won't be used to make a short term impact. However, I'm hoping Anelka goes, which means we have one less striker, not to mention Drogba will be away for the ACON. Taking that into account, it would be nice for us to buy him, loan him back for 6 months and then put him in the squad for the rest of the season. Learning from Didier would do him a world of good.

If we don't sign him, I'm sure that in 5 years we'll regret it..a lot
