My 2 cents on formation/selection

I think we all know the team Wenger will select tomorrow, which is sad because Man U fans and more importantly the Man U players know as well which players they will face. we have a relatively big squad, it sad that one can easily predict our personnel and formation. On the other hand no one is sure who fergie will select.

This is what i think we should go with
sagna..........Mert.......Kos..........Verm
................... Arteta.........Wilshere
.........................Carzola
Podolski.............................Santos
............................. Walcott.

I think in games like these the element of SURPRISE is important. Wenger never understands that for some reason. The only surprise Wenger has come up with in recent times was playing Gervinho in CF position, and that worked quite well.

Tomorrow i think we should start walcott in the CF position for a number of reasons. 1 being that he has good movement and he is a good finisher. He will most definitely keep the CBs occupied by pulling them out of position. Secondly he will have a chance to prove himself on the big stage as a CF where everyone can see what he is made of. Importantly he is in good form.

Podolski on the left will give him more impetus to shoot as he has a great shot on him and Evra would have to rethink his movement ( covering inside as opposed to chasing a Walcott or an easy Ramsey) Also their left winger would have to track back more to stop him from shooting.

Santos on the left wing is more natural, he is a decent footballer (not so much a defender) who is better up field and at the same time will give good covering to the LB. That way we dont get overrun by Nani or Valencia.

Kosienly and Mertsacker should be good enough to handle Rooney and Van that one.
