TEAM NEWS
Tottenham remain without playmaker Mousa Dembele as he has not yet overcome a niggling hip injury.
Striker Emmanuel Adebayor is in contention after recovering from illness and a back injury, but midfielder Jake Livermore is a doubt.
Wigan winger Ryo Miyaichi is still troubled by a groin problem and unlikely to return on Saturday.
Antolin Alcaraz and Albert Crusat will also be absent through respective groin and knee problems.
DANGERMAN
AROUNA KONE - The Ivorian has hit the ground running after a signing from cash strapped Levante in the summer. His major asset is pace. He hit 15 goals for Levante last season, as they qualified for the Europa League

FACTS
Wigan have managed just two victories in the 15 previous meetings between the sides, but one of those came at White Hart Lane in the 2010-11 season.
Tottenham have scored in all nine of their league matches this season - the only other top-flight club to manage this feat is Manchester City.
Only seven goals have been scored in the first half of Tottenham's nine league matches this season, but 23 goals have been scored after half-time.
Wigan are the only Premier League team who have not recouped any points from losing positions this season. (Oh god )

Seconded, probably the best summary of AVB and our reaction to him I've read

AVB is still a toddler in managerial terms
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The problem is he is a toddler but he is on a real mans salary and for that huge salary I expect a damned sight better than we saw today
