Ok so we've just lost 2 games in a row, its not the end of the world.
We're still 4th and only 3 points off top.
That said, we still need a ruthless striker and possibly another defender ASAP.
Still happy with being in a play off position.
Put things into perspective.

Judging from today, I don't think a striker is necessarily the biggest concern for us. We've scored in every game and it isn't like we spurned loads of chances today - more that we didn't even have the chances to spurn in the first place.
It seems that if Marhsall/Knocky don't play then we don't create enough chnaces to win. I'd like to see another winger/attacking midfielder come in who has a spark because, as I mentioned, without those two we seem like a lot of perspiration and little inspiration.
I must be one of the few who still believe in Waghorn. He's definitely improved his all round game and things like his passing, movement and touch all look better and I feel his finishing will follow. I'd give him another few games before writing him off.
What it isn't is a time to panic or do anything knee-jerk. We did a lot of good things to get 5 in a row and we just need to get back to doing those things. Just on the squad size, I wonder if NP's hand has been forced with the financial side of things that he's hat to cut the numbers this drastically?

The "perspective" we need is that this is a very tough league where everyone can beat everyone else.
Perhaps too much was made of us winning five on the bounce. We have lost the last two and face three very tricky games where I honestly can't see us winning any of them.
My personal view at the beginning of the season was that Leicester would fall short of the play-offs, largely because of the depth of our squad. I can't really see too much to change that view.
This is not a criticism of Pearson's approach, more of the expectations of the owners and certain sections of the support.
I could never really see how we could expect to impress ourselves on this division with so many in-experienced players. In a year or so's time the likes of Vardy, James, Marshall and Knockeart may be a real force in this division but at the moment we are seeing glimpses of both great potential but equal measures of naivity.
So "perspective" is that so far, they have done pretty well. But don't expect too much too soon !

a 4-5-1 set up against WATFORD and playing the long ball game doesn't really work. However the 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 actually created one on ones following countless long balls. The set up of the team was all wrong yesterday and personal will not change that. we have the squad to get out of this league but having watching that, I doubtful we have the know how. We set up like we were playing Barcalona and allowed them so much time at the back and in midfield ( despite us playing a 5), no urgency from us and thought the Watford front 2 looked good and comfortable attacking and holding up the ball at will, something we could only dream of due to sticking Nugent up there on his own and constantly puttng oursleves on the back foot.

sorry for a couple of missing words and spelling mistakes there, but I'm sure you get my drift. It hard typing with such a banging head and with only one eye open.

Absolutely. 5 wins is a good little record but when reflecting on the season, we need to keep re-evaulating as a whole. It's exactly the same as the people who decided Pearson should have been sacked after a couple of losses at the start of the season, and now who feel he should be sacked because we have lost a couple on the bounce.
You can view it that five on the bounce was a decent run but shouldn't completely take over our perspective and two defeats on the bounce isn't great but shouldn't completely take over our perspective. I think it's the fans that pick and choose which runs to look at which we find grating.
At the minute, our form and performances overall I think probably justify us being a promotion contender (amongst several other teams). Logically (on performances so far) I can't see anything that suggests we can't challenge for the play offs, but who knows, we may go unbeaten for 10 again and get some good loans in or not win in 10 and get a host of injuries- we can only really base opinions retrospectively on what we have seen and project that for future fixtures and at the minute, I am happy that we are achieving above most fans' expectations.

Ps - I guess as well, perspective is that at the start of November, we are one win off the top of the league.

Or the other perspective we have dropped to forth ahead on goal difference from Hull after two straight defeats.
Neither of these perspectives are wrong just done expect everyone to say everything is alright.
Nigellas got a problem and i think he will fix it
As for sacking a manager again this early in the campaign no matter ones right to express an opinion is the most brain dead waste of money generating, faliure inducing and shoot yourself in the foot thinking i have heard since the last itme we did it!!!! IMO

That's my point though - this isn't putting the season in to perspective, it's just reflecting on that last two games. Nothing wrong with that, but some people call the 'moan in' and will only site these two facts when providing on opinion on how we have done over 14.

I guess one could argue that if we did the same again and the same amount of positive change to the Club and team happened we could be challenging for Champions League next season!
