How good did we play?! Sometimes it is beyond me how unfortunate we are not to win games considering our domination. At times I thought, we could easily have been Barcelona. This isn't because of the passing, which too was controlled and sensible and in abundance, but by the way the players pressed and pressed and pressed.
I don't think Newcastle had a period of control in that game. Our players swarmed the man on the ball, it was 3 on one countless times. Very much like Barcelona, which is the ultimate goal with this new philosophy is it not?
There is still a long way to go, and Barcelona have quality far greater than ours but look at what Rodgers is doing. He is following that model. That possession has drastically improved and the pressing is incredible. We are only going to get better and there are a few players we need to make it work properly.
I'm excited and optimistic. We aren't looking for a quick fix remember that.

I noticed on the interviews that Rodgers praised the Newcastle goal he thought it fantastic but Pardew said it was a silly goal to give away for the equaliser, I'm afraid Pardew has gone down on my estimation everytime he opens his mouth, he seems to me a bit cocky

We didn't win so we didn't play welll in my eyes. There is no point playing pretty football if you can't win.

Our only goal came from a hoof, so there needs to be a bit of a rethink in my view. Sterling has pace to burn and we could easliy turn the back four on numurous occasions just to mix it up a bit.

We played well but we desperately need to find an end product. Need to work on corners as well, 14 and very little threat from any of them. How ironic that the only way we could find the net was by reverting to long ball (or a brilliant precision 40 yard pass as I prefer to call it).
