Stuart Cosgrove article

There's a blog/article doing the rounds that was written by Stuart Cosgrove. Now I know people will have certain opinions of Cosgrove - yes he's a pretentious prat who likes the sound of his own voice - however I think what he's written is worth a read. Don't judge the article on the writer, judge it on its content. I suspect a few users on this site won't like this.....

I personally think it's bang on the money.

I tried to post the article in the main post but it's far too big - I'll post it in the thread if you bare with me.

I would have been delighted to see it go to creditors if it meant Rangers were expelled completely. That's what should have happened. You are a new club and had no right to walk straight into Div3. You don't realise how lucky you are.

-------------------------------------------------

It should have went to Creditors no matter what happened to Rangers. How can the SPL ever justify retaining that money?

Irvine, the fact is the SPL prize money got nicked by the other 2011/12 SPL clubs. Stolen. Nabbed.

THAT money has gone into the coffers of those 11 clubs.

So no preaching about punishment, creditors done out of cash etc will ever be tolerated.

The amount is not the issue. It is the principle. After all, that is what ALL this has been about - integrity, sporting or otherwise.

Care to explain that Irvine?

Yeah Irvine - was wondering about that. So integrity is conditional then?

I didn't believe any of the Armageddon nonsense from the start, I can see our league getting better too. A lot of Rangers fans are desperate for other teams to fold and this is why I cant really sympathise with them. I also had a feeling Celtic wouldn't get things there own way either, would be nice if it stays close till well into the new year or even beyond

Good article, I actually quite like Cosgrove

west, take yer diddy specs aff!

It has nothing to do with Rangers or Celtic, it is more to do with numptys who run our game!

For the last ten years Scottish fitbaw has been on a dramatic decline in standard while the price too watch it has went up!

Cosgrove is a imbecile, even Tam Cowan canne be arssed with him noo!

3rd, why the sudden interest in the state of Scottish football, our league has been in decline for years right enough. Now all of a sudden that rangers can get something out of it, league reconstruction is top of the agenda

diddy specs i'm off to get a pair

I have been saying since 1994 that reconstruction was needed in Scottish fitbaw, it is a boring format and always will be.

But to many people interested in their own positions to care

3rd, I do think we need reconstruction too, and big time but I just think if its done before Rangers have worked their way back it will be unfair. I think the next 4 years will through up some interesting football anyway. This season is actually turning into a good season, just about any team in the SPL could be in the top 4 at the end of the season.
