he's not better then koscielny or vermaelen but it would give us more choices to play vermaelen at left back and mertesecker in DM.

Why would he want to go from captain of Fulham to "4th choice" at Arsenal?

no i wathced them but ones bad game doesn't make them bad players just like that.

henryscat we can offer CL football and bigger wages he might be tempted because he's near the end of his career.

If he's brought in as "4th choice" his oppotunities in the CL will be limited, as will his wages - while I have no idea what he's currently paid, he is their captain and I imagine on a fair whack already. Some players can't be tempted by just a bit more cash.
