Bolton Perspective

Short and sweet but just had the following from a mate who supports Bolton.

***
best team i've seen this season, you were the better team first half. even 2nd half. both keepers played well. everytime mills got the ball your strikers were straight on him. waghorn looks a player.

How wrong was I !

Had us down for a heavy defeat but judging by the stat's; not only did we hold our own but probably created more chances and played the better football.

This was a really important point in that it stopped what could easily have continued into a run of bad results and may well bring some confidence back to a young side.

It's just a shame we haven't yet got anyone who is showing any real confidence in front of goal. Narrow margins but it sounds like this could easily have turned into a win.

"If this really is the case why are we not 10 points clear?"

Lol if only footbal was that simple mate. Unfortunately the best team don't always finish as winners in games. As long as we put in performances like last night though over the majority of the season we will be there or thereabouts come May
I said before the game last night I'd be delighted with a point and I am. Very good point away at Bolton.

Posted this on another thread last night, but appropriate here too. From the Bolton match thread:

"Their fullback who replaced Konchesky was superb and beat anything near him."

"Leicester are the best team I've seen in this league."

Personally I get a little bit tired of hearing how we looked a really good side, but didn’t win the game. Taking your chances is part of the game. Coming up against an inspired keeper is part of the game. Being caught by a sucker punch and losing concentration defensively is also part of the game.

If this theme continues and we don’t go up it won’t be because we were unlucky. It will be because we weren’t good enough in crucial areas that are critical in making us successful. It beats looking rubbish and not winning as it gives us hope, but it’s also frustrating as we are probably only a couple of players away from a team that could get us promoted.
