There is a “video" on the internet which claims to provide proof that the McLaren front wing is illegal because it flexes.

The “video" is actually two still photographs being displayed in a continuous loop.
One photograph has been taken with the engine at 14,000 revs and the DRS open. The second photograph is at 18,000 revs with DRS not activated.
Not sure if that proves illegality. Any views?

Although it is difficult to spot, the throttle and braking levels are different also in both photographs.

desperation from some sad act! seriously the amount of coverage these cars get i think the FIA may have picked up on this had it been an issue.

Quite agree.
Now it is being used as proof that the nose is flexing.
If that is the case then judging by the "video" the entire left hand side of the moncoque is flexing also.

That video is showing the team grabbing hold of the front nose cameras and wrenching the nose off the car. Not putting a flexi nose on.
do you think that nose was made of rubber?
If you review the BBC footage of the same pit stop the nose does not seem to bend as much as that. Anyway, I thought flexi from left to right was legal. Am I wrong on that?

Thanks.
However, I don't even know what lanquage they are using.
the top video on that site is in extreme slow motion and lasts for 2 seconds. I don't know what the car is doing at that time.
Don't get me wrong, I don't have much time for the fizzy drinks company but people with access to footage showing illegality can always post it off to the FIA. Then we don't have to act like Sherlock Holmes.

That Newey car has some illegal parts, has always had. This is the same car that has parts that can be adjusted by hand. Why would a car have parts that can be adjusted by hand, in clear violation of the rules not be punished? Holes in the floor? Traction control engine maps?
It appears the FIA have been drinking too many fizzy drinks

It's like I said a while ago, Daredevil.
Red Bull have replaced Ferrari as the "break whatever rules we want and get away with it" team.
