surely everyone agrees though we need a wage cap

that would even things out and would also dispel the fears that players move for money

that way they can never earn that much more than they are already on if they are a top earner

Players will always move for money. Anyone who believes players love the club that the supporters do are kidding themselves.

Additionaly a club will always find ways around any wage cap.

Personally I would make Mata a priority now it looks like Luka won't be coming this season

I'd love to have Affelay at the club. He'd certainly be an improvement from Kalou, Malouda and Anelka for starters at just 10M it would be a superb piece of business. Mata I'd also take with open arms at the club - another potential fantastic signing.

Everyone including Affelay knew he'd be on the bench when he signed for Barca. Granted he's won silverware, but from a personal point of view, he wasted himself by moving there. He'll be happy to sit on the bench regardless of Sanchez coming in.

Surprised nobody has gone in for Mata. Valencia will sell him relatively cheap and he is quality.

Loads of clubs have shown interest in Mata. For some reason there haven't been any concrete offers

Aye that's whats surprising. All the spanish pundits saying he's available but nobody making a bid? Whole fcking transfer window seems fcked up atm.

Affelay would be a great buy, could be the creative signing we needed over Modric. I think he's more suited to midfield than in a forward position but he's a versatile player. Dissapointed that we didn't go for him when he was available for such a cheap price
