What a team these two are turning out to be. When we signed Yacob I was excited, but always wondered if he was going to adopt quickly enough. His performances have been outstanding and I am sure this is helped by having Mulumbu next to him. If you offered me any other midfield partnership in the league I don't think I'd take it. There might be more flair and creativity out there but there is no way we'd be sat where we are in the league without these pair.
Just please keep the vultures away in January Jezza!
Mulumbu and skinny girl.

I reckon Mulumbu would fit in well at Arsenal... hope the rumours that Wenger is going to bid for him are true...

Terrie, I echo your comments about their quality. But I had few doubts about Yacob given his pedigree in Argentina - he just had to be a good player. I thought Paul Scharner would be hard to replace, but Yacob's defensive abilities outweigh any goals and set-piece threat Scharner brought to the team - we needed a defending MF player first and foremost. Plus Yacob is 7 years younger than Scharner and we got him for nothing - amazing! All we need now is a player to cover for him and Mulumbu.

Can't see Wenger forking out for Mulumbu really. Too tight to cough up £15m for M'Vila- a France international. We are are probably talking about the same much here, given his importance to the team.

We didn't go for M'Vila because of his attitude issues. He is also one of the most over-rated players going, struggles to get starts for Rennes at the moment.
We need someone who is adept in PL, such as Mulumbu.

I agree you do, I'm just wondering whether Wenger would be willing to pay that much. Even if he does agree to it, I cant see much happening in January while he is on ACON duty.

Mulumbu will be with us for the rest of the season I reckon. I do think the system we play allows them both to shine and I have total confidence that if we did lose him, we would find a very good replacement.

I reckon Mulumbu will be with us for a long time - I think this time Jeremy Peace will ignore the lure of a big profit in favour of keeping all our best players who still have their best years ahead of them. He is one of those younger players who are our best guarantee of keeping our Premier League status, and there is no guarantee we will unearth another talent like him so cheaply for £175k and we could end up having to pay a large fee to replace him with someone else, so why sell him in the first place? In fact, we should be looking to get cover for him and Yacob. Gone are the days when Albion have to sell, surely.
