I'd quit, I'd go and find somewhere else to manage...
1) He's never had the backing of the club (this takeover is a joke, it's been a farce man made by one of the most detestable chairman any clubs had to endure and by a group of big time charlies who can talk the talk but seem unable to walk the walk) they talk about the millions they've put in to our club...
2) He's never had the backing of the fans, most of us know he's a Blades fan, ex-manager etc, we also have a prior opinion of him based on his tv interviews so how many of us genuinely wanted him to succeed? I used to hate the guy thought he was right whinging t**ser....since he took over I've put my feelings aside and have actually learned that yes he moans but he does actually still passionately wants to do well....
3) He'll be remembered for the last club he works at, Leeds is a poisoned chalice at the moment fans are on your back thinking we're still premiership and expecting a style of football that goes with 10-15 years ago......everything he did with every other club will be tainted by his time at Leeds
4) He brought in players he genuinely thought deserved a chance we know the guys we all said 'he's carp, he's no good, what's he done at x team' NW obviously wanted siege mentality he brought in guys that he thought would play for Leeds and use the criticism to better themselves and they've not apart from Diouf who bless him has been unable to really do anything and in January when he leaves for Stoke or elsewhere I say thank you for your efforts....so NW bought those players in maybe his judgement has gone he can no longer bring out the best in players like he used to....
Neil thanks for your efforts but it's time to go, not entirely your fault you haven't exactly had our full support or our clubs owners, walk away now your record speaks for itself but it's time mate I for one wouldn't take the job on at the moment.....
If I was Warnock

how's it rubbish? I can find many articles where people right from the get go we're having sly digs from his unfortunate anagram he's never had a chance and I'm not defending him some his signings were awful....just saying as a manager would you stay?

Your always going to have people who wanted a different manager.
Warnock has easily had a fair crack of the whip when it comes to the fans.
He was welcomed with open arms, at games.
And even now he's barely had abuse for the utter rubbish he's served up.
He's lucky he hasn't been sacked, with his performance

"How many othe teams in this league spent over £2m in transfers fees."
Wouldn't you agree that our squad was in deficit this summer though. By that i mean Gradel was sold on deadline day so no direct replacement came in for him until Townsend on loan. Howson was sold in January and his only replacement was Delph on loan.
To make matters worse these players were sold way below their actual value, meaning the task for the manager to replace them, especially given our league status is virtually impossible. Then this summer Snoddy was sold. We already knew the defence was shiite. Therefore to have a real chance we'd need to be spending £6m+ to have a realistic chance.

It is terrible to think we had Snodgrass, Clayton, Howson, Gradel and now we have: Green, Brown, Norris, Tonge likely to line up as our ongoing midfield. Sickening really. Shambolic management to let either contracts run down or players leave for the amounts they did.

so can we agree that whoever came in never had a chance the players that left no manager had a chance of retaining? Who's to say Sir Alex Ferguson would be getting any other results than what we have now? I can't say NW's signings have all been brilliant but like I said do we even know what his constraints where? He brought in players that I think he hoped would step up and they have to look in the mirror even Austin has been average......

Some on here were trying to argue that the current crop of midfielders were stronger, tougher and wouldn't go missing
I'd rather have technically gifted players over triers any day of the week.

Frank
I got hammered all summer for saying midfield was worse now

And I got hammered for saying that we were going to struggle!!
Good article. He was on a hiding to nothing but he's not helped himself particularly with his public statements helping to raise unrealistic expectations etc..
If Bates remains in place and at the moment there is nothing to suggest that he's off anytime soon, then he has to have a long look at himself and the predicament he has created. His "investment" is turning toxic.
Declining crowds will remove one his his last revenue streams, we've not much more talent he can sell in the next window or so.
We don't want another "out of work" manager. We want someone who can motivate and play attractive football. If that means having to dig deep into those pockets of his then so be it. Its about time he paid back the funds he's been stripping from our club since he "saved" the club all those years ago.
Speculate to accumulate Mr Bates, it's hardly rocket science. Decent manager, a few good players and the results and crowds will improve. You'll then get a healthy return and be able to retire in the not too distant!!!

Point 3 is a joke! - We think wrre premiership and what football from 10-15 years ago??
Wat are on you on about?? We only want us to be able to string five or six paasess together for vast periods of games, not Barcelona!! Brighton can do it, as can a few sides in this league, thats all we want

ok my point to clarify was about some fans expectations of where we should be We need you're right that is also something I've considered should we be getting a younger manager more in tune with todays game? I honestly don't have all the answers this article was more an outpouring of my frustration as a Leeds fan just the same as you guys....I don't think any man could come in and make a decent go of it while we have this takeover 'imminent' it's not fair on Neil and it's not fair on the team and it's certainly not fair on us...that said the current first team have got to have a good hard look at themselves despite our misgivings they've had a chance to make a name for themselves and they've been left wanting...not one player is free from this.....
