I thought that was poor, but we literally did not have anyone else. Ivan, Mikel, Cahill all marking the bigger threats, Torres needed to be near the edge of the box for counters. That left Mazacar who can't head or jump and Bertrand and Azpi who are probably about as good/bad as Ramires in the air.

The defenders and Cech were distributing the ball very poorly, even when under no significant pressure - they were repeatedly gifting possession to Liverpool.

In other news, Liverpool may just be the least interesting team in the PL at the moment. They managed to make a game against Chelsea, currently the most exciting team in England, difficult to watch. If this is what the Liverpool fans have been watching this season, they have my sympathy.
