Evra's comments??

gunners: is Evra just blowing hot air again, or is there something to his comments about Nasri going to Man U?? Are the contract talks with Nasri going that bad?? Please say it is not so...(((

And yet for months Nasri's agent has been making noises about a move because arsenal wont pay him his desired wage.

as if agents don't do that whenever negotiations are coming up. it's called trying to push for the best deal for his client. make out other clubs are interested to try to push the price up.

You really are clutching at straws now stretty

He's an agent. That's their job!

It's in his agents best interest to get the best deal possible because guess who gets a percentage of whatever their player earns. Of course they're going to kick up a stink when their contract is coming to an end. The agents want more money just as much as the players!

Exactly and with arsenals wage structure do you generally think you have a chance of keeping him when he could go to another club and be on 80 or 90 grand a week?

and what makes you think we aren't going to pay him that?

new contracts generally mean a pay rise, and he's currently reported to be on £65k....

Come on now, its a well known fact arsenal choose not to compete with other clubs when it comes to large wages. God only knows why when they charge their fans so much tbh.

Keeps away the mercenaries?

Footballs a job mate, people are entitled to make as much as they can, doesnt make them mercanaries does it. The only thing arsenals policy is doing is holding you back as a club. You miss out on the better quality of player and lose the good one's you do produce.

I see your point but if players go around demanding higher wages and the club actually pays up, it won't be long before they completely collapse financially. A bigger wage/more expensive transfer fee doesn't necessarily mean a better player. Just look at Torres! What's he done really since Chelsea made a record breaking deal for him?

Ok stretty, you keep clutching at your straws.

It's nice to know you want one of our players so much. New contract will be signed long before the season starts, unless something goes drastically wrong... and even if it did, the chances of wenger selling him to united are roughly the same as satan building a snowman in the pits of hell.

Also, in case you weren't aware... i just thought of something and went and checked it... sure enough, nasri and evra have the same agent.

coincidence that it's evra shooting his mouth off to the french media?

Dont get me wrong I would love nasri. But there are many players out there who could do a job for us not just him. If he comes brilliant, if he doesnt this is no bother we look at alternative options. I would take fabregas also.

You know that player power has an almighty effect these days. If he wants to come to utd, with a year left on his deal, he will be at utd. If not arsenal run the risk of losing him for free.

Yeah, maybe he wants to play with nasri, just a thought.
