Well well, what do I have here? A pretty crap team, but nonetheless I will give it my all. All my reserves are in the 50's, the bench is low 60's and the starting XI mid 60's mostly. My midfielders are old and defensive, the defence is average, and the attack slow. I don't really have a bright spark in the team, so I think I'll have to play frugally, which I like. A good challenge. I can't really afford to play too adventurously or too exotic a formation so I think I'll keep things simple and hope to come out on top in a tough group.

Star man - Reggie Lambe pace will be very useful
One to watch - Eric Avila has to pull the strings if I am to succeed
Familiar faces - Torsten Frings, Darren O'Dea, Richard Eckersley (Burnley I think)

Psycho - Real Salt Lake

Former tournament winner has bagged himself a really strong team all over here, they only position that looks a bit weak is RM, but Gil could fill in there. A good keeper, quick wing backs, solid CBs, a strong CM partnership, good wingers, and 2 quality strikers looks to be a recipe for disaster. Expect him to top the group.

One to watch - Jamison Olave
Familiar faces - No-one really. A team full of level headed players.

RoryT - DC United

Strange team, only one player above 69 and that is De Rosario, 78 overall midfielder. The rest is pretty average, I think it's just DDR that's putting them at 3*. 2 big slow forwards up top, slowish wingers, and an average defence, Rory could find this difficult.

ChoiceCity - New England

I reckon these are the worst team in the league to be honest. Choice has a real handful getting out the group with this chit. Everyone is average or worse.

TLLL - FC Dallas

A fairly unknown man is TLLL, and I don't think he can be too disappointed with his team. They look pretty solid all over, he has good options.

Sporting KC - Comu

They look a pretty solid team, but lacking something special I feel. No-one really stands out as a danger. But they'll be hard to best with Comu at the helm.

Dog - Houston Dynamo

Houston look a decent team, could be worse could be better. Don't think Dog is too happy with them. Defence looks a bit suspect, one CB is really slow and the other 5'10, and he only has 6 defenders in the squad! Attack and midfield look ok

Familiar Face - Giles Barnes

Fabtastic - Seattle

Fab has hit the gold here, an attack and midfield that wouldn't look out of place in a lower Prem team. The less said about the defence the better, but Fab should just go for it, he has the players capable of winning it. A solid keeper should help him. If you were to be picky you'd say the bench was crap.

JAG - Chicago Fire

JAG not happy here, but they look decent to me. I reckon a 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 would be best suited here, they have Oduro and Nyarko just waiting to be unleashed on the wing, and Rolfe and MacDonald look a force up front. Pardo a strong CDM, and they have a solid looking defence. Lighten up JAG!
